Today is Vijayadasmi.
My soulful greetings from heart !
I have felt Art, science, religion are
different names for blooming of the soul
to it’s splendor, in different dimensions.
To my ancient luminous forefathers
– saraswati meant- “saram dadAti
eti saraswati”- the one who gives
the essence, the one who illumines the
life with essence. To many this is
what “blooming” is all about.
The story about Poojapura was fascinating.
It’s something new for me. This Pooja time,
with my pooja material i entrusted something
to Lalithamba that belonged to Lalettan as well.
Coincidentally, you also wrote about “it”
in your awesome write up.
My mother was just telling my father the other day how they have all waited for Pooja vaipu. I saw a light in her gracious smile. All the young one’s were all DELIGHTED. I have couple of those smiles, sounds in my mind as i write this.
I have question – “Vijayadasmi” – why victory
on the tenth day ?? What is life trying to say ??
Along with our Navarathri festival – “kumari pooja”
is missing. It should come. Little angel faces who
fill our lives, our homes must be worshiped and
celebrated. It will bring lot of respect, dignity
and adoration for all our little goddess !!
And day after tomorrow – it is Bakrid.
Greetings !! Greetings !!

A very good read ! Very relevant today as people grow intolerant towards each other’s religion..
Love u laletta ,u r simply Great
gud one laletta… your writing is more suitable for writings with a spiritual touch. This one also got the same feel… Your book ‘RITHU MARMARANGAL’ is also a similar type… I personally like such writings with a philosophical and spiritual touch… that will lift the reader to a different platform. Expecting such works 🙂
Very useful blog. Keep up the good work.
Yes festivals bring a lot of nostalgia to ones mind.. childhood years, those growing times.. impressionable period huh? I spent most of my growing years in Kolkota.. Durga puja there was navratri in other parts of the country and kali puja was Deepavali in all other places.. Its a very blessed and special time of the year..But my parents used to celebrate all festivals.. be it hindu / muslim / christian .. every festival was an occasion to celebrate in our household..My mom loves cooking.. she just needs an occasion to make payasam..we had friends dropping in at all times just to have her food..
Sometimes I think I should never have left Kolkota..The city just wont let go of you.. you are drawn to it again and again..I guess some places have that effect on you..
With best wishes as always
All the best lalettaa..
