    Hello.

I read your entry with great interest. I myself am a HUGE fan of Amitji. U are so lucky to have spent time with him…such good fortune is for the lucky ones only. And the photographs are amazing!

I live in Melbourne and on my yearly visits to India, I have tried to get a glimpse of Amitji by visiting his house on a few occassions…but so far I have been unsuccessful. The police bandobast outside ‘Prateeksha’ is something else…

Anyway, it was good to read yr entry. With good wishes and regards…

The lovely things you have written mean the world to me and to all of us who share your deep affection for Mr. Bachchan. While reading your words, I was most certainly able to feel the love and respect you have for him. Let me reassure you that those feelings of love and respect are mutual as Mr. Bachchan has spoken very highly of you on many occasions. It feels great to read your post about a true legend . Thank you so much
His entire FmXt (the extended family of his bog) is very grateful to you.
I don’t think that in this world, there is anybody who is more down to earth than him. He defines the meaning of a true gentleman, he defines good manners, he defines what is a true human
And look at his talent, his perfection in every field is limitless. Therefore i always address him as ‘Super Superman’

He is one of the most expensive assets that we all have around us..and we are proud of that.

Once again, many thanks for sharing your experience with Mr Bachchan. It is a great gift for all of us

    Love and care

    Raman

    Dear Mr. Mohanlal,

This is my first interaction with your website, getting the link from the BigB’ blog. I consider myself a little bigger fan of HIM (The topic of your post – Amitabh Bachchan) than you. I also appreciate your outing in hindi movies, especially ‘Kala Pani’ which was a great effort. I still have to see an actor who for the authenticity of the film, can go to the extent which you went in that movie. Of course HE is an exception.

I have a request to you, please correct the spelling of his name which is ‘AMITABH BACHCHAN, and not ‘Amitab Bachan’ as displayed in your post as well as on the posters of ‘Kandahar’.

Regards and Best wishes for ‘Kandahar’,

    Dearest Mohanlalji,
Sir it is indeed a an honor to have the facility to garner virtual space for commenting and that too on a post dedicated to the greatest legend of our country from another great legend, for a fan and struggling actor like myself.
One was aware of the Khadhaar schedule through Amitji’s Blog and now to read about it as beautifully described by you sir, is a further enriching experience, one can simply visualise the euphoria and warmth filled joy on the sets and the respect & camaraderie that you two greats must have shared.
i had the good fortune to see you once on the sets of Company’ in Filmistan Mumbai but was simply shy to come and have a word with you but loved you in the film nevertheless.

Thanks once again for this beautiful post, hope to work with you some day Sir, it would be a real honor.

    Dear Mohanlal,

As you truly and lovingly mentioned, indeed he is globally known as ‘Big B’ , especially the film fraternity. On twitter Big B is indentified as Sr.Bachchan just to ensure and indentify the other as Jr.Bachchan, his loving Son. We his fans on the blog lovingly call Big B as ‘our truly’ not because we are possessive but it is Big B himself who with his humility and affection to us signs up as ‘Yours truly’ and refers as ‘ head of the EF(Extended family) . His graciousness deserves our simply being receptive.

You have seen him, felt him, been with him and so rightly believe. It is very nice of you to write about your experience with ‘our truly’ and thank you too for making ‘our truly’ comfortable in each and every moment in Ooty on and off the sets. Our truly also had wonderful thoughts about you and from the fact that our truly is sitting on the three chairs in one of the pictures on your blog is an indication how comfortable you made ‘our truly’ physically. By your loving words from your heart we are also sure the amount of love you gave ‘our truly’ and he too has love for you and the entire team. ‘Our truly’ gives respect to each and every human being and that is the reason why he gets a lot of respect from others.

Many have just seen him in ‘reel life not real life’ , waved out from metres away, smiled from a distance, blown kisses in the air, tucked his potograph under the pillow, felt his presence from beyond the barracades, seen him passing by inside his car, write to him from behind a computer screen, dreamt at night and broad day light too. From no matter where, how, why we see him, hear of him, his qualities are magical and are worth only to reside in ones heart. If we who are strangers have him in our heart, we fully understand the reason why you called him ‘brother’ and gave a special place in your heart.

He deserves Love and you deserve our Love too.

    Love
    Mario

Dear Mohanlaal ji, I read your blog abt millenium’s superstar Mr and darling of billion’s heart Amitabh Bachchan (I noticed Amitab bachan, I have many friends from south and they all do not use ‘h’ at many places). The feeling that you describe are so true and seems coming from heart that it is contageous. I am sure that Mr BAchchan will reciprocate the similar emotion about you and your crafts excellence and gentle attitude. Infact you both along with other great figures in the inductry are role models for many upcoming artists. The brotherly affection of the fraternity guides common man to live in harmony.
I have seen you couple of hindi ventures such as Saja-e-kala pani with Tabbu and Comapny. Watching your performances I instantly became your admirer (‘Fan’ dilutes the real emotion). Please keep the good work and God bless you.

Yes as you said Amitji is always a personality par excellence and no one can match him as a person who is always at the peak. Normally an actor has ups and downs but not for this ever-active Amitji. That makes him even great!

Reading this ‘from the heart’ write-up, I can sense the material what great people are made of! While re-living his moments with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Mohan Lal ji in turn shows what stuff he is made of. He himself is humble and a perfect human being. A lesser mortal could not have written and expressed as he did. He has conveyed to us the joy he experienced in Amit ji’s company, in words! And we thought he only conveyed in acting!!!?

The world is that much richer with this meeting of the two legends of our country. I wish you well. Amen.

    Dear laletta,,,

On a recent post of Amithab Bachan’s blog which mentioned about your blog about him, a few comments pointed out seriously that you spelled his name wrongly in your blog. What I have to say to those who felt similarly is,,,,

Who cares about spelling and grammar ( Lalettan may not really agree with that,,? And who cares whether he agree or not,,,) Words are just a means to convey our feelings and this blog did that perfectly. I really felt as if I was present there in Ooty where our great Amithab Bachan has taken part in the shooting of “ Kandahar “. When the feeling has been conveyed in all its beauty and depth, why giving more importance to mere words and more silly spelling and grammar???

When you are hungry without food for 3 or 4 days and a packet comes with the name of some food, can anybody wait to check whether the spelling is correct or not?. The food will enter into the mouth and go to stomach even without the knowledge of the hands which actually helped it to get there. The feeling that it is food is more than enough without any care to the spelling or grammar.

Also, when you give a letter to some one with the words “I love you” and if you don’t really mean it, what is the purpose of those words? Those perfectly spelled words are actually deceiving the other person. The reality is that, when we really love someone words are not even needed to convey that feeling. And remember, when you need words to covey your love you are actually misunderstanding something else for love.

Similar is the situation with all our religions. .
Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and all other names for different religion, are simply words which reminds us the feeling that we are part of the existence as a whole and whole of existence as a part. Instead of enjoying that great feeling of oneness of ourselves with the existence, we are foolishly giving more value to the names and even more foolishly to its spelling. If you analyses a little, you can see that all those wars that happened in the history of our earth had some basic reason associated with man’s over concern towards these words and its spellings.

And one final word to those who happens to read this comment,,,
If you give more values to my words, spelling or grammar you will definitely miss the feeling which I intend to convey,,,,,,,

Now the blogs comes handy in several ways…
first is when you want to divulge your real feelings…
and secondly, when you put something like “blah blah” on the blog, knowing that the person about which you write is certain to read that…….(something like pampering …?or is it just praising or something else ?)
It is the latter which we see in this page by Mohanlal…as everybody know that present day Mohanlal is “truely business minded” and not a Mohanlal whom “we used to see , respect , and appreciate in the 1980s…..
    uh…after all,
    “sambhavaami yuge yuge”….right ?

    regards.
    josephine.

After the screening of his Vaanaprastham in Cannes, a leading European director told the modest actor, “You are born on the wrong side of the world.”

Yes Lalettan…….U r born on the wrong side of the world….but now living as a legend.
It’s been ur friendship that brought U here……
